Well, this seems to be caused by an incomplete classpath definition.
As far as I know, Ant (version 1.6.5 or above) should be available
("lib/build/ant-1.x.x.jar"). This is somehow stated in the "build.xml"
file (in "libs-build-classpath" variable). I've noticed several Ant
libraries in the classpath used in Gump so this should be fairly easy
to fix (add the potentially missing Ant jar).

@Batik developers:
Thing is... Can we do something about it? I.e., notify the Gump team
or something? I'm not familiar with this project so I'll likely not be
able to provide much more input...
