Nicolas Peters commented on BATIK-1027:
---------------------------------------
We are also facing the same issue in our application, in which we are
generating PNG representations of process models defined as SVG. As long as
this problem exists, we cannot move to Java 7. Will this bug be resolved or is
there a workaround? (I'm adding two screenshots showing the difference between
Java 6 and Java 7 (it is a web application running in Tomcat 6).

> Text that is rendered on top of a semi-transparent element will be rendered
> incorrectly if the JRE is Java 1.7. On Java 1.6 this issue doesn't occur.
> I have attached a very simple testcase that demonstrates this issue. On Java
> 1.6 the two "Hello World" texts are identical. On Java 1.7 the anti-aliasing
> for the upper text is broken.
> I was also able to reproduce the issue on batik-svn-12-10-01.
