Actually, from the maven 
[page|https://mvnrepository.com/artifact/xerces/xercesImpl/2.11.0] I found out 
xerces 2.11 depends on xml-apis 1.4.01 which does contain 
org.w3c.dom.ElementTraversal. Adding it to the class path resolves the above 
CNFE. Is that the right thing to do? Wouldn't the three jars: batik 1.10, 
xerces 2.11, xml-apis 1.4.01 have some other conflicts?

Also, would be helpful if batik release notes point to the dependency issues 
like the above. Thanks in advance.
