In 2008 _(hence 16 years ago)_ *SVG Tiny 1.2*
([https://www.w3.org/TR/SVGMobile12|https://www.w3.org/TR/SVGMobile12/)])
introduced the {{*vector-effects*}} attribute
([https://www.w3.org/TR/SVGMobile12/painting.html#NonScalingStroke)] to allow
transformation of graphical elementes {*}while keeping the original stroke
width{*}, which comes in handy for street maps for example, and in any other
kind of vector graphics that need to position symbols in screen-pixel-size at
application-units-scaled locations. *SVG 2.0*
([https://www.w3.org/TR/SVG2/Overview.html),] itself being a draft since 2018
{_}(hence eight years ago){_}, adopted and extended that idea and allows e. g.
to transform the location of an element *while keeping its original rotation
and size* (see [https://www.w3.org/TR/SVG2/coords.html#VectorEffects]).
Due to the broad usefulness in diverse fields of application, we should start
to adopt this idea and implement {{vector-effects}} in Batik!
