Batik is now generating what appears (when rendered to the screen) to be valid, properly styled PDF from my SVG file. However, when I attempt to plot it (to an HP DesignJet 800ps), large areas of the plot are blank. The plotter screen indicates the following error:
"61:05
Error processing job. Flushing rest of job"
According to the manual, that means "The file format is wrong and the printer cannot process the job." I don't get this error when I print the Batik-generated PDFs that were strictly black & white; only the ones which took my stylesheet into account.
I've researched the problem from a hardware standpoint and haven't found anything indicating anyone else is having problems with PDFs plotted to this model of plotter, so I'm back to looking at Batik. Does Batik do something unusual with the styled PDF it generates?
For reference, I've listed my embedded stylesheet below.
thanks, Trent

So there is almost certainly something that is keeping Batik from using your style sheets. If you want to send a small example it is probably something simple.
