Hi all,
I am currently thinking that a new release is in order. This
would also simplify some
things with/for FOP as well. My current leaning would be a release of
1.6.1 off the svg11 branch,
but I am open to debate on a 1.7 from the trunk (svg 1.2 code). It is
also possible that we could
have both 1.6.1 stable, and 1.7beta or some such.
The main piece of work is the need for a release is to move the
SVG DOM bindings and
SAC bindings into the Apache xml-apis project and get a release of that
project, so we can
incorporate the xml-apis release jars in Batik. The reasons for this are
essentially to clarify/simplify
the Licensing situation in Batik.
