   Correct, the resolution of this bug was to align diacritic marks

   The reality is that none of these programs renders these examples
particularly well.  Without access to special mark positioning 
information it isn't possible to correctly position the marks on 
the base glyphs.  SVG currently doesn't have anything in this area 
so we are left to guess where the marks should go.

    I don't consider it a bug, it is true we are different,
but we are intentionally different. 

    You can always open a bug, but the bug would essentially be
the inverse of bug 28429, where Pierrick asked for the marks to
be aligned on the right side of the base glyph instead of the
left side of the base glyph.

    I am curious if you are a native reader/writer of Arabic
or if you are just "blindly" comparing Batik with other 
applications? (different isn't necessarily wrong ;).
