Hi All,
my apologies if my question was answered in previous posts already. I
googled around for quite some time, before turning to this mailinglist
though, and didn't find a real sample or answer. With some trial and
error i indeed managed to get a working sample. Thank you all for the help.
Thanks,
Patrick

Hi Patrick,
although my preview post didn't got much attention, [...]
This usually happens because:
1. The post has already been answered within the mailing list [1] is a
FAQ [2] or a know bug already identified in the tracker [3];
2. Not enough information was provided: operating system, Java
version, Batik version (or revision, when using the trunk [4]), etc.;
3. Batik developers are generally busy so this can sometimes take a
bit (more than a week, sometimes);
(4. Lots of more reasons, of course, but I'd say the above represents
over 90% of hanging questions.)
In this case, I'm afraid that this thread seems to fit case 1: a very
similar occurred [5] just a couple of weeks ago, which makes me
suggest crawling a bit more [6] before asking (but please, don't let
questions sit on your side for too long!). ;-)
The problem i'm
having right now is that the font is just displaying like a system font (i
think Arial). Anybody any clue on how to get the right font?
Daniel already pointed out towards the solution: I'd only add to this
that the font can also be placed close to the (SVG) document and
referred to using a relative link (for example,
"../fonts/myFont.ttf"). These and more tips (for example, on how to
easily get the font face name on Windows) can be found in the (already
pointed out and) closely related thread [5]. :-)
Thanks,
Patrick
Your previous pair of threads seem to be somewhat the same: of course
that, if you manage to find an answer (either by crawling the mailing
lists or the Web or by yourself), you are invited [7] to share it
(even if just posting something like "found it:
link-to-relevant-thread-or-web-page).
I'd only add to this that Nabble provides an interface to the Batik
mailing list [8] which is a bit more user friendly than the official
one: you may find it useful while crawling for answers. ;-)
Hope this helps,
Helder Magalhães
