I'm not sure what you mean by output handler but I assume you are
trying to build some sort of cache to speed things up...? Please
provide a bit more of background on what you are trying to do, and few
details on your goal and you will (probably) get more interesting
feedback... ;-)

Probably. Unfortunately my Batik expertize isn't much to create a code
snippet by memory, but there are a few mailing list threads from which
I highlight a pair [1] [2] which may be useful. Also (as already
stated), if the this doesn't help you may try providing more
information...

Note that there's demand for a feature like this (regarding animated
SVG) in the Batik rasterizer, under bug 44654. ;-)
