I am not aware of any easy steps that could be taken to
reduce the memory footprint. That doesn't meant that there
aren't any, but right now I don't know of any area where we
hold multiple copies of data without an architectural reason
(like we need the string version of 'd' for DOM, but we have
a 'general path' version for rendering).
