Folks,

I'm pleased to announce that there will be 3 Scala Lift
Off<http://scalaliftoff.com/>conferences this year.

The Scala Lift Off is a friendly community event for everyone - from those
just “checking it out” to recognized experts who have been developing in
Scala and/or Lift for years. This diversity means you can learn everything
you need to know about any aspect of the Scala language or the Lift Web
Framework.

There is no pre-set agenda for the conference, attendees go through a
facilitated process to create the agenda live at the event. We encourage
those with applied knowledge to prepare sessions so they can share some of
what they know. Those new to the language can pose questions about what they
want to learn about. Sessions called at previous Scala Lift Off’s include:

   - Overcoming Java/Scala integration issues
   - Using the Actors Library
   - "Whittling an API"
   - Using SBT for Scala development
   - Functional Programming in Scala
   - Overcoming Binary-Incompatability
   - Creating a website in Lift

Registration is open for:
San Francisco (September 24th [the Friday after JavaOne]):
http://scalaliftoff.eventbrite.com/

London October 7th and 8th:
http://skillsmatter.com/event/scala/scala-lift-off-london-2010/wd-372

New York City, October sometime the week of October 25th (we're still
working on a location).

I hope to see and meet lots of people from the Scala and Lift communities at
the Scala Lift Offs!

Thanks,

David
