I did once awhile ago.  There was experimental work on a GUI scripting
front-end written in Java by a russian engineer.  I think it is still on
sourceforge.  I will look for that.  Of course, the bayonne2 xml binding
allows one to use xml documents, so that may be easier to construct a
gui for.
