And I was able to verify that I can use my reverse-complement and rule code to find the patterns previously reported by the authors. I'm still trying to determine what, if any, significance there may be to the pattern I mentioned earlier. I did some surveys on random genome segments and it does come up pretty often but it doesn't seem to be completed excluded from DSCAM exon clusters.
