hook rather than when ispell is loaded, but don't quote me on that!
Probably your best line of attack is to do the unbinding in a
mode-specific hook as well. I'm guessing you're referring to Gnus;
apropos gives me a bunch of gnus-article hooks one of which is
probably the one you're looking for. Can you be a bit more specific
about your setup? Emacs or XEmacs, what version, where exactly you're
being affected by this conflict, etc.?
