Okay, I'm currently evaluating Alex's zipcode patch (sorry it took so long, alex!) and I've tagged the current incarnation of BBDB with a CVS tag (BBDB_FILE_FORMAT_5) since someone asked for that before I hit the file format again. Hopefully in the next day or so I'll check in the changes. I'd appreciate if the other developers would hold off making CVS updates until then.
