I suppose lots of people know this already, but the work at
<http://www.syncml.org> was just brought to my attention.  This is an
industry consortium that has produced an XML-based vendor-neutral
protocol for performing synchronization.  (Palm is one of the
supporters of the consortium.)  Unless this turns out to be total
crap, it seems like a good thing-to-look-at for anyone hoping to
finally, once and for all, solve the PDA-vs-BBDB sync situation.
