Could you tell me what function \C-c a is bound to?
I tried to replicate your problem bu was unsuccessful. I am curious
why you run a function to prompt for an alias. My aliases
automatically expand after I type them in and hit <SPACE>. I wonder
if there is some problem with the function you are using....
