Oops!  Sorry about it!  I thought I was fixing a bug - like the many
bugs in bbdb-gui that I fixed in the last couple of days!

I actually started to write a message (that your code was loading
bbdb-gui whenever emacs was running under a window system, and some
people wouldn't like that and won't be able to easily undo that) and then
read your messages again and thought that what you meant was simply a
defcustom, that the code I changed was just an oversight.

I assumed (from the context) that what I did was what you meant.
If you don't like my fix - just change it!

On the second thought, your messages indicated that you were already
quite irate - maybe I should have stayed away from the CVS until you
calmed down...

At any rate, IMO you are over-reacting.
