Richard, it makes it far easier for people to debug your problem if you do the following: 1. report your problem using bbdb-submit-bug-report, or at the very least give your emacs version and bbdb version. 2. if you've modified something, attach the relevant code. For bbdb variables, bbdb-submit-bug-report will do this automatically. 3. if something doesn't work, be specific. Give a stacktrace. Cut and paste the output of the compile, if that's what's failing. 4. Before you mail the list, check the list archives to see if someone else has had this problem.
