Write a wrapper for bbdb/mail-auto-create-p, e.g.

(defun rf-bbdb/vm-ignore-old-folders ()
"Set `bbdb-always-add-addresses' to this function in order to ignore new
addresses in all folders except the `vm-primary-inbox'."
  (interactive)
  (save-excursion
    (vm-select-folder-buffer)
    (if (and (string-match "received" (buffer-name))
             (bbdb-ignore-some-messages-hook))
        'prompt)))

And for folders containing "received" in their name you get
asked if you want to add unknown addresses. Replace 'prompt
by t to add new ones instantly.
