Another option is to use the NNTP gateway news.gmane.org. This list is gatewayed to gmane.emacs.bbdb.user. Spam is cross-posted to gmane.spam.detected though a combination of filtering (with SpamAssassin) and human reporting. I score based on the presence of that cross-post. Almost any mailing list you've heard of is already gatewayed by Gmane and it is extremely easy to get new lists added. For more information, see <http://www.gmane.org>.
