Hi Leo,

what are your settings for these:

Variables and Constants:

 * bbdb/mail-auto-create-p - If this is t, then Gnus, MH, RMAIL, and
   VM will automatically
 * bbdb/news-auto-create-p - If this is t, then Gnus will
   automatically create new bbdb

For me they are t and nil respectively.
