It seems that the use of this variable is obsolete. I helped me find 'bbdb-pop-up-display-layout' on the other hand. :) The strange thing is that I can not find why my pop-ups show only: "name, net, time stamp and creation time" while according to the variable 'bbdb-display-layout-alist', 'pop-up-multi-line' is empty. From where does it get the default then?
