BBDB has been updated to use Automake. Thanks to Christian Egli <christian.e...@sbs.ch> for helping with this. This has significantly simplified the scripts for building BBDB. Also, it has made the build of BBDB more compliant with GNU standards. This has brought BBDB v3 yet closer to its first proper release.
When you check out BBDB from the git repository, the easiest procedure is to run the new script ./autogen.sh which creates the ./configure script using autoconf and automake. This requires the latest automake 1.14. Older versions do not provide the variable AM_ELCFLAGS required by BBDB. The BBDB TeX files are no longer installed in the TeX path, which was always a fragile installation. Now, instead, they go into ${datadir} which defaults to /user/local/share/bbdb. If these files reside elsewhere you need to configure bbdb-print-tex-path accordingly. 2013-07-17 Roland Winkler <wink...@gnu.org> Use Automake.
