I'm suppose to be able to "Customize Toolbar...", via menu or context menu, and change the toolbar, ideally including the option to use small size versions of the icons, or even no icons and just text. Aside from wanting to be able to do this, its the not-quite-right nature of the BBEdit toolbar and other things like this that makes BBEdit still seem dated. Indeed, to have the toolbar redesigned and yet still not done right is, I must say, rather disappointing. As I said, though, it didn't stop me from upgrading. :)

The first thing I tried to do after opening 8.5 on my 12" iBook was to resize the toolbar icons like I do on all the apps where possible, but no go. I agree that "Customize Toolbar" should have been there.
