Another quick grep question. I have many lines of text similar to this:
fig4 = figure(4, figsize = (4,3))
fig4.clear()
ax4 = fig4.add_subplot(111)
I want to change all occurences of of fig4, ax4, and a couple of other
items following the pattern of \w\w\w4 with fig5, ax5, etc.
Matching is easy:
(fig|ax)4
or
(\w\w\w?)4
Question is how I replace it. Clearly \15 doesn't work since it
references pattern 15...
