Hey all
I have a rather large (~20MB) log file, and I want to delete all the
lines that *don't* contain a string (in this case, a username).
I'm sure there is some kind of greppy goodness that can be applied to
accomplish this, but I don't know the first thing about grep. :-/
Any suggestions? Thank you!
Thomas.
Others have told you to RTFM -- and that is always good advice.
If you would like a grepping lesson file I developed, I can send it
to you privately, as well. How precisely you craft your grep is
predicated on the structure of the lines in the log.
