Some of our projects require me to run a series of text files through one or more text factories. I also need to process a fairly large number of abbreviations and acronyms, adding the appropriate html tags, classes, and title attributes. I have many of these already set up as clippings in a special abbreviations clippings folder (and I add more each day). It seems like a lot of extra work to make both clippings and save search/replace patterns for text factories. Is there some way I can use a text factory to perform a search-replace, taking advantage of these clippings files? AppleScript? Or, failing that, can anyone suggest an efficient way to do this?
