I believe this may be what you're looking for (from the Expert Preferences
section of BBEdit Help):
To tell BBEdit not to import the Find Scrap into its Find window, nor to export
the "search for" string to the Find Scrap:
defaults write com.barebones.bbedit FindDialog_UsesFindScrap -bool NO
