Once in a while I would like to open a file - already listed in a
project window - in a separate, additional window.

How to do this?
I can find this option for files that are **NOT** in a project:

My workaround is to Control-Click on the filename in the project window's sidebar and choose the "Reveal in Finder" command; then double-click the revealed file and it opens in its own window.

HTH.
