This is a passphrase-protected connection - if this helps - but
it had been working reliably for years now. BBEdit has become
an essential element of my workflow1
Try connecting on the command line using EXACTLY the same
settings (host, port, and user name), and see if that fails as
well. If so it's likely a configuration issue and not related to
the application.
