I've worked with three colo facilities in the Boston area. One has
since closed their Boston facility. As for the remaining two:

1) hosting.com, Charlestown, MA.
I pulled my equipment from there in late 2001 because of poor customer
service and unscheduled service outages during peak business hours. To
be fair that was quite some time ago and things may have improved.

2) MCI, Billerica, MA
I have had equipment there since 2002 and have been very happy with both
the facility and the service. We have not experienced any downtime due
to MCI.

The facility itself has everything you would expect, redundant data
feeds, power feeds, cooling, generators etc.

Off site support (phone, email, web). The few times I've needed support
they've been helpful, knowledgeable and courteous.

On site staff. I've only needed "remote hands" once. They were quick
to respond.

Security. Fairly tight. I don't think it's appropriate to post details
but I'm sure the sales staff would be happy to give you the pitch.
