Wedged. Right. So it's important to deal with snap reserve being full.

That is interesting, and it means netapp must be doing something now,
different than I knew 5 years ago.  This sounds cool, but I wonder -

Suppose you have 20% snapshot reserve.  Suppose you fill Vol1 up to 50%.
Suppose you fill your snapshots up to 40%.  Then correct me if I'm wrong, df
will say:
        Vol1   50%
        Vol1/.snapshot   200%

Now, suppose you start adding files to Vol1.  Will Vol1 grow to 60% of the
total disk and then get wedged?  Or will Vol1 grow up to the full capacity
of Vol1, and the snapshot gets bumped somehow?
