According to Proofpoint, Google Message Security (Postini) is being discontinued: http://www.proofpoint.com/products/postini-switch/index.php Google announced recently that after November 1st 2012 there will be no contract renewals of Postini services. To clarify, this is not a rebranding of Postini; this is an announcement of the end-of-life of the Postini infrastructure and services. All Postini customers MUST migrate off of Postini systems. So they bought the tech just so they could absorb it into Gmail/Google Apps? I guess that makes some degree of sense...when you have more money than time, it was a quick fix. > Proofpoint++. I gather this is sold like an old-school enterprise product with lots of sales interaction, quotes, and high prices. -Tom -- Tom Metro Venture Logic, Newton, MA, USA "Enterprise solutions through open source."
