I would very much like to build a table at class load time (using my version of BCel ClassLoader; for simplicity lets say an array of class names as they are loaded) and access this from run time code. However, I come up against the 'all static variables set to default' problem. I've tried many combinations and tricks but to no avail! Has anybody done this, and can they please share the technique - or is this just plain impossible? I could use files, but thats a bit messy - but perhaps the only way?
