      The firmware uploaded by hotplug runs on the device itself .
      Yes , that's what i concern .
       I know the firmware will run by itself in most of x86 system , what i don't know is
       Will it also run on the ARM device itself too ??
       And , i am not using the Intel board , i guess it doesn't have any relation with the endian either .

Hi Shawn,

the firmware uploaded by hotplug runs on the device itself, so it is  
"endian-neutral" for the host system (this is true for both the bcm43xx  
and the ipw2200). I think Your problems are coming from that You are using  
an Intel IXP425, right? If so, You can read about the discussion on the  
bcm43xx list archieve
