I'm not sure about Fedora, but most distros won't touch a patch until it makes it past Linus and appears in the "stable" kernel. For this fix, that will be 2.6.21 that should be out in about 3-4 months. This one hasn't made it though review yet, and there hasn't been much testing. If testing goes well, I will push it to the wireless-2.6 git tree in about a week. Things happen slowly in this business.
