DDoS/DoS Attack - http://bcop.nanog.org/images/e/e2/BCOP-DoS-attack-appeal.docx <https://webmail.gvtc.net/owa/redir.aspx?C=b82e9c546848428fa903615d93e2d8f8& URL=http%3a%2f%2fbcop.nanog.org%2fimages%2fe%2fe2%2fBCOP-DoS-attack-appeal.d ocx> .and saw in the last section "What to do after a dos/ddos attack", #2 where it mentions, "A controversial step is the decision of reporting or not reporting a DoS/DDoS attack to the authorities." Why is this controversial ? I work for an ISP and have been seeing a lot of attacks over the last year or 2 and have wondered at times if it would be good for me to report what I see. I just want to help fight this activity in hopes to go after those doing it and to learn more about mitigating against it. Aaron
