No, offence but as you brought up this topic I want to mention a few
points. First of all you probably didn't paste tux on the aero bliss
wallpaper yourself or someone else had the very same *bright* idea
months ago :

Second even if did the pasting yourself you don't get the right to
distribute it under the GPL as the aero bliss wallpaper is microsoft's
intellectual property (whatever that is :-D) and the tux was made by
jgh:

Of course if the tux is in the public domain as the above site claims
it's ok but microsoft probably wouldn't be happy to see their work
RE-released under the GPL.
Now before omi bhai comes screaming at me about our sweet law abiding
countrymen I want to make it clear that I'm not saying that people
should always respect copyright laws even in a country like ours, I'm
just saying that everyone should at least know what's legally allowed
and what's not and that আইন ভেঙ্গেও সাধু সাজার চেষ্টা করা উচিৎ না।
And about doing the two mentioned things in gimp you can use hand
drawn region selection tool or the path tool (just convert to
selection) to cut tux, then feather him and paste him. Gimp can export
it to jpg directly (I think photoshop can do that too). Ofcourse there
might be better ways to do this, I'm no gimp expert.
