Dear Members of the List,

It is our pleasure to in form you that Bangladesh IT Minitor
<http://www.geocities.com/bangladeshitmonitor> is going to publish a
special issue on Open Source soon. The issue will contain articles,
features, reviews, etc. on Open Source and Free Software. Interested
authors are request to email their writings, written in English and Bangla,
typed properly and well referenced to the email address of Bangladesh IT
Monitor [EMAIL PROTECTED]

A selection committee composed of editors of Bangladesh IT Monitor and some
academicians will select the best writeup and the author of the best
writeup will be awarded with a prize.

Writeups should be sent as attachments - single spaced, at most 7 A4 pages;
the paper should contain full address of the author(s) and email within 10
May 2006.

The contributions may be on any technical, philosophical or any other
issues of open source. Some preferable fields may be:

1. Philosophy of Open Source and Free Software.
2. The necessity of Open Source in Bangladesh and its probable impact on
the country's economy.
3. Reviews of locally built open source softwares
etc.

It may be mentioned that, Bangladesh IT Monitor is a bilingual magazine
that focuses on education, literature, business, development, social impact
and all other aspects of computer, IT and software development, and thereby
intends to influence the policymaking process, help flourish ICT in
Bangladesh, side by side with providing good stuff to the IT readership.
Materials from the magazine may be freely reproduced with proper
attribution.
