You're right, its really a free-for-all Wild wild west situation for
providing internet services in Bangladesh. That is why some ISP's are
charging 25,000 taka for a 32kbps connection and other are selling 128k
connections at tk 800. Service quality is also like a yo-yo .. I would
say the same applies for most industries in bangladesh .. whatever
'policies' exist (heard of the 1996 ICT Policy?) are really outdated or
not followed. Whenever 'test' connectivity is concerned its always
unfair to those not connected.
