Courtney encouraged working with a gallon boiled for 1 hour, hence working towards the stronger post-volatile phytochems. I made up the tea, one handful for the gallon and I've sprayed it out. It's amazing what a repellant it is. Plain water would never get the same effect. After 4 hours, all but one of the flats were still bug free. The other had three v. tenacius cucumber beetles, all, incidentally of the same, but unusual, type (the smaller, more streamlined ones that are darker yellow than the common ones) I'll spritz them all again shortly and see what happens. It doesn't hurt to remind everyone that the equisetum leaf sold at the food coop may be of the same quality as the equisetum leaf sold by JPI as 508. (508 is fermented AFTER brewing and not before.) -Allan
