Something I watched this week with great amusement was my 3 angus heifers lying by the pasture gate, ruminating as legions of rhode island reds and barred rocks patiently picked the flies off from their faces, even out of the corners of their eyes. I thought this sort of symbiosis between bird and mammal was reserved for Africa..
