OCTOBER 2002: IN THE EYE OF THE NEEDLE

About the Surf Reports:
Each month I receive anxious emails wondering where the Surf Report is or why it is late? The Surf Reports are based on my intuitive feelings of the energies of the month, not on astrology or numerology. Sometimes, it takes me a few days to tune into the energies of the month especially if I am busy, undergoing a personal crisis, or in a deep quiet place where words don't come easily.
We are now being given the opportunity
to give birth to ourselves.
Giving birth to ourselves may not be comfortable
and it may not be always easy,
for we are the one in the throes of the contractions of labor
and we are the one being squished through the confines
of the birth canal. But it will take us where we yearn to be.
And the birth canal is the Activation of Fifth Gate....
Once again, we find ourselves in a period of tremendous intensity in which we are forced to deepen. We are dealing with myriad issues, large & small, all coming at us simultaneously, all crying out for our immediate attention. We're back in the tennis match with what feels like hundreds of balls smashing onto our court. Running here and there, and sometimes simply collapsing on the court, we try our best to keep the balls afloat.
Now and then, we actually get something completed. The ball is sent racing out of our court never to return. It's finished. This feels great for the merest instant, until our attention is again called to the blur of balls heading our direction.
In the midst of this incredible intensity, we are accomplishing much, although it can be difficult to our physical well being. Our endurance is being severely tested and it's taking its toll on our health.
Even if we have health issues to deal with, there's a deepening going on. Such a paradox -- being relentlessly busy and thrust so deep in the silence.
While we are engrossed in the game, it's easy to forget to eat. And as soon as we get a second's respite, it's easy to sink to the ground and fall into a deep sleep. So tired are we and so overstretched.
Perhaps, some of you might ask, "Why do you choose to stay in the game?" "Why don't you just walk away and get a good rest?" But this doesn't feel like a viable alternative in the present moment. This flurry of activity is actually leading to something. It's building up to a breakthrough. We can feel the energy growing stronger, pushing us forward, beyond our previous limits. Something is coming. We can feel it...
REROUTING
Our prolonged immersion in the struggle to survive in an increasingly uncertain world has caused many of us to forget who we are. We have pushed our own dreams and desires aside and forced ourselves to focus on the everyday practical aspects of life.
In truth, this has not been a bad thing. It has actually enhanced our process of becoming more real. It has helped us integrate our internal polarities of Spirit and Matter, of Earth and Star. The only problem is that while undergoing this intense period of cleaning out our old foundations and finally building new ones, many of us have lost sight of the overview of our larger journey.
We have been so engrossed in the task of removing the heavy, old foundation stones, putting in the new ones, clearing out all our neglected, dark corners, replacing the very basics such as plumbing and wiring and spending so much time under ground, getting dirty and worn out, that we have forgotten why we are doing this and that there is still a luminous structure to be built upon the foundation.
Now is the time for us to emerge from our compressed focus on the minor details of life, shake off the cobwebs and dust, forget about our bruises and see where we really are. It is time to start focusing on quality of life and begin creating the kind of lives that we really want to live.
For many months now, we have been experiencing the closing of old doorways and the opening of new ones. Each time that something doesn't work or something is released or that we hit a brick wall in our forward motion, we are given an opportunity for rerouting.
Each time that we experience a rerouting, our inner circuitry is rewired and recalibrated. Every time we are rerouted, our path is corrected and sent into a truer direction. During these reroutings, many elements are released from us--relationships, activities, beliefs, jobs, ways of doing things, ways of responding, attitudes, whole segments of perception are dropped. At the same time, new elements are being rerouted towards us-- drawing us to people, places, jobs & opportunities which represent our New Life.
And I want to say here that everything which I write in these monthly Surf Reports is totally aligned with our journey through the Doorway of the 11:11. It is all perceived in the context of this map of the Unknown.
To understand the time we are in and the energies we've been experiencing, we need to look at the last 11:11 Activation, the Activation of the Fourth Gate which took place on August 11, 1999. The keynote of this Activation was the Reconfiguring of our Evolutionary Labyrinth. What this meant is that the walls or boundaries of our potential experiences (probable realities) were moved around, creating a totally new patterning.
Since then, we've discovered that we can't always go in the direction in which we were used to going. Or if we do, it won't always take us to the expected destination. We can't do things in the same ways as usual, even though they might have been quite effective before. We can't even fall into the same holes and karmic patterns as before, because the labyrinth itself has been reconfigured. We don't necessarily like the same music, the same food, the same activities, the same people. We can't even make the same assumptions that were the cornerstones of our previous belief system.
The "Same-Old, Same-Old" is gone. It's like a huge chunk of the iceberg of our old lives has broken off and drifted out to sea and the remaining piece is steadily melting away. Some of us joyously welcome these changes as long overdue and dive into the ocean of uncertainty, while others find it extremely unsettling. And there is no way to refreeze our icebergs and make them solid again. The old world is gone. The old ways of doing things are gone. The old ways of being are gone.
Our challenge now is to rediscover ourselves. To find out who we have now become. To start looking at our lives with fresh eyes and unjaded perceptions. To step out of the confinement of our basements into the sunlight. To see that it is now the dawn of a Brand New Day. And in this Brand New Day, we can emerge as new beings. We can step free of our old limitations. We can shift our focus. We can expand our hearts. We can Live Large. We can become artists who create shining new lives that finally reflect who we have now become.
On October 19th will be the Activation of the 5th Gate of the 11:11. This is the Gate of Personal Freedom. It signals our emergence from our self imposed limitations and beliefs. The significance of this is immense and practically inconceivable. It will be like a huge Green Light to go forward in new creative ways.
The 5th Gate will unleash a new surge of positive energy which will propel us forward. This is of critical importance at this time. Especially as the world situation becomes more enmeshed in duality, more pinched and separated. This is when we can either get sucked back into duality or we can propel ourselves through the birth canal in a new way of being in the Greater Reality.
There may only be a handful of us participating in this Activation compared to the original 11:11 Activation in 1992, but we will be like a needle which pierces the fabric. As we go through the fabric, the thread will be pulled through with us, woven ever deeper into the Greater Reality. This thread will actually loosen some of the smaller, tighter threads which have kept us bound and small and you will feel it.
October is a month of intense activity, of completion of the old, of coming together as One and with our focused intent creating a laser beam of purest light, of penetration, of breaking through, of propulsion into new places.
By the end of the month, we will definitely know that there has been a huge shift.
