As the totalitarian regime of GWB inches one step closer to fruition,
the writing on the wall clearly indicates that a major global population
adjustment lies not very far ahead.
In recorded history there have been three MPA which have drastically
affected occidental society - the 'bread and circuses' excesses and
racial persecutions of the middle and late Roman Empire; the westward
sweep of the Mongol hordes of Genghis Khan and others in the early First
Millennium which effectively terminated Roman rule and consolidated
Celtic occupation of the British Isles; and ostensibly the Black Death
in the Second during which up to 40% of the population of Britain and
the coastal regions of Europe were eliminated over a period of one century.
Horrific though they and many of their immediate effects were, each of
these events brought lasting beneficial change to Planet Earth or parts
thereof. In the case of the Black Death, modern demographic analysis has
demonstrated that uncontrolled migration from France (Normandy) to
England following the invasion of William the Conqueror brought about a
situation in which the demand on agricultural resources so far
outstripped supply that the death rate began to rise steeply in 1325,
twenty-three years before the first death from bubonic plague was
recorded. As a direct result of this MPA, thousands upon thousands of
hectares of arable land lay fallow for several hundred years, recovering
its strength sufficiently to buttress the population explosion which
began with the onset of the industrial revolution in 1750 or thereabouts.
It could be said the Earth as a whole is now in a worse position than
England was in the early 14th Century. Chemical excesses have stripped
the goodness from soils, resources have been pillaged without thought,
the wonderdrugs of the mid-20th Century have lost their effectiveness
through careless overuse, the population boom continues unabated.
Nevertheless, events since and including 9/11, even discounting the
nuclear device conspiracy theories which currently abound, herald a
world of light just around the corner - after the major population
adjustment which has to happen to bring it about.
For the BD community, far-flung, disorganised and underconfident though
it often appears to be, the limited time between now and then offers an
opportunity to develop and consolidate havens of knowledge to which the
remaining population can turn for succour. As they will, make no
mistake. Neither will that time be 'doom is boom'; bare survival - life
- will be the currency - and the reward.
I beg of you - do not waste this opportunity on searching for identical
symetrical piles of cow dung with which to make pluperfect manna from
heaven, just stuff the horn with fresh cow manure which is to hand,
stopper it with clay and bury it in the good soil for the earth and
cosmos to wreak its magic. Use the time saved to expand your knowledge
and consciousness - and teach others the BD secret.
