Hi All,

Roshan delivered interesting session on use of command line. I think he has plenty
more things on this to share with us. Let's have that in next sessions.

One thing I wanted to share on same. Sometime when you have long folder names, it
become difficult to change directory to some inner folder. How about using 'cd' for
"D:\Program Files\Microsoft Visual Studio .NET\Common7\Tools\Bin"

Win2k and NT users can probably use this "*" e.g.
cd \Pr* to avoid writing full name. But that doesn't serve purpose when you have many
folders starting with same word like Microsoft Office, Microsoft Visusal Studio,
Microsoft Visual Studio.NET.

For XP users, TAB key comes in very handy in such cases. You can key in "cd M" and
press TAB, it'll give you name of first folder in current location starting with M.
Pressing M next time will give next folder starting with M and so on.

Windows 2000 and NT users can also make use of above feature that is not given by
default to them. Only thing you need to do is change follwowing key in registry:

HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Command Processor\Completion Char

Change the value to decimal 9. Run another command prompt and start using TAB for
chaning directories.

Cheers
Sanja
