hi,
In my SQL Server trigger on a table I have written code
SET @V_DATAKEY =(SELECT @V_KEY1 FROM INSERTED)
Where
@V_KEY1 is the column name ,i am getting from another SQL statemnet,
i am expecting the inserted value for the column name @V_KEY1 into the variable
@V_DATAKEY ,the problem is if am giving directly the colum name in SELECT
@V_KEY1 FROM INSERTED ex: SELECT COL1 From INSERTED , then i am getting the
value ,if i am passing the variable containing the column name i am not getting
the expected result (inserted value for the column )
what is the mistake
i am doing?
Regards
-Srini
