What happens, actually when you create a report you also define the server name into the report file (rpt file). When you change the server or the server name, you need to update the report (rpt file) also for the server name. you can find an option "set location" from the database menu where you get all sql infomation which you provided at the time of report creation. So change the server name atleast in the report file(rpt file). This will solve this problem.
