Hi Sql gurus, Situation:- I have a table(eventtable) with fields, eventid int,
speakerid varchar(500) etc., data sample: eventid speakerid
etc., 1 2,30,67 2 5,8,19 Note: speakerid fields contains
id's from another table(speakers) seperated by comma. Speaker table structure is,
id int, speakername varchar(100) Problem:- I created a new table to hold
speakerids associated with each eventid id int, eventid int,
speakerid int Now i wanted to transfer data from eventable(first one) to the new
table i created. In the first table speakerids are comma separated and i need to split
it and insert it into the new table with its associated eventid. I am wondering if i
must use cursors... to fetch each row and then split speaker fields. Correct me if i
am wrong and let me know your suggestions Shamir
