----------------------------------------------------------- New Message on BDOTNET
----------------------------------------------------------- From: Pandurang_Nayak Message 3 in Discussion You already have your SOAP server ready :) 1. Create a webservice (.asmx) file and write your methods there. 2. Host this in IIS. 3. Your webservice is ready to be consumed. >From your client: 1. Create a SOAP request 2. Send the request to the webservice 3. Collect the SOAP response. As simple as that. Actually for programming the client (say a WinForm app), if you use VS.NET, you could just add a reference to your webservice (using the Add Web Reference...) and then you are ready to straightaway consume your webservice like any other method. No need to manually code a "SOAP request". The plumbing is done for you by VS.NET environment. If I haven't been clear, lemme know and I will send you an example. rgds Pandurang ----------------------------------------------------------- To stop getting this e-mail, or change how often it arrives, go to your E-mail Settings. http://groups.msn.com/bdotnet/_emailsettings.msnw Need help?
